The only photograph our family has of the Wasersztejns from Jedwabne, I learned the back-story from my father. Dressed in their high holiday best, the family trekked to the Rembrandt Studio in Łomża. The photograph (circa 1926) was sent to Motl, who by then was making his way in Havana, Cuba.
